THE LOEL STORY
The LOEL Senior Center was started in 1976 by William Holz with an initial $100,000.00 bequest. And with that gift, the LOEL Foundation was born. The first LOEL site was located at the Hotel Lodi on School Street. In 1978, the center moved to its current location on South Washington Street.
The Center continues to grow along with the community's needs. This fundraising event will help LOEL achieve its dream of an expanded center to serve our senior community!
LOEL offers our senior community social programs to ensure a healthy mind and social life! Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday is Bunco Night! There is Bingo and an annual Christmas Luncheon! The opportunities for social activities are abundant!
LOEL offers our senior community a congregate lunch program at the center, and meals on wheels to ensure all of our seniors have the nutrition they need! Last year, Chef David LaFranchi and his team made 44,000 meals to help feed our seniors!
